Application Engineer CAD/CAM

OPEN MIND Technologies Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking an Application Engineer CAD/CAM to join our growing and dynamic team.

We are responsible of sales and support of hyperMILL^®, a leading technology in Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) solutions, and a pioneer in 5-axis machining technologies. We are adding new Application Engineer due to our growth in the business for the region.

• Develop and maintain a relationship with our machine tool/cutting tool partners to ensure the successful and broad adoption of our technology solutions and service offerings
• Perform day to day technical support to our customers/resellers in order for them to be successful in implementing hyperMILL^®
• Customer/reseller training
• On-site test cutting and postprocessor by-offs
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer technical issues and concerns
• Document and update customer support records based on interactions in CRM System
• Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services

Minimum Qualifications:

• A diploma from an accredited polytechnic or university and/or 3 years CAD/CAM experience
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Positive and professional demeanour
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Desire to participate in professional development and take on new responsibilities
• Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Software and/or ideally CNC machining industry background
• Highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Dynamics CRM software, Outlook, MS Word, Excel
• Highly skilled at multi-tasking with the ability to quickly adapt and learn
